Automobiles of Arizona – another 1937 Bugatti 57SC Atalante goes on sale

After its record-breaking McLaren F1 auction in London, RM Auctions is preparing for another big one in Arizona, this time presenting mostly classic cars. The Automobiles of Arizona auction will take place on January 16 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Among the featured lots are a 1937 Bugatti 57SC Atalante, 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Roadster, 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Berlinetta, 1937 Delage D8-120 Aerosport Coupe to name a few.
1937 Bugatti 57SC Atalante


Chassis #: 57551 – 200hp, 3,257 cc dual overhead camshaft supercharged inline eight-cylinder engine, four-speed manual transmission, live axle front suspension with semi-elliptical leaf springs, live axle rear suspension with reversed quarter-elliptical leaf springs, four-wheel drum brakes. Estimate is not yet available, but the price will be very, very high. Another ‘37 Bugatti 57SC Atalante will be auctioned by Bonhams in February and is estimated to fetch between $4M-$8M.
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Roadster


Chassis #: 002 – 616hp, 377 cu. in. pushrod overhead valve aluminum block V8 engine, four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension with coil springs, independent rear suspension with transverse leaf spring, four-wheel disc brakes. Estimate is not yet available.
1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Berlinetta


300bhp at 8,000 rpm, 3,286 cc four overhead cam 60-degree V12 engine, six Weber 40 DCN17 carburetors, five-speed manual rear-mounted transaxle, four-wheel independent suspension with upper and lower wishbones, coil springs and tubular shocks, four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. Estimate: $950,000-$1,250,000
1937 Delage D8-120 Aerosport Coupe


115bhp, 4,744 cc inline eight-cylinder engine, Cotal four-speed electric pre-selector gearbox, independent front suspension with transverse leaf spring and trailing arm, live rear axle with longitudinal leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Estimate: $1,000,000-$1,500,000
