At the same auction where the record breaking McLaren F1 sale took place, RM Auctions sold a 1996 Ferrari F50 for £319.000 (~$516,365). We wrote about an F50 auction on eBay earlier. That car was listed for $985,000 and - as to our knowledge - went unsold. Unfortunately, we did not record the chassis number for that car and the eBay auction has expired, so there is no easy way to tell, whether these are the same cars. The currently sold one has a chassis number of ZFFTA46B000105193 for future reference. Below are the pictures of this car.

A month ago, we wrote about the upcoming McLaren F1 auction to be held on Oct 29 by RM Auctions in association with Sotheby’s. Partial, unconfirmed results are in through Ultimatecarpage.com
The McLaren F1 auction sets record with the £2,530,000 (~$4,194,234) hammer price

Other high value sales at the same event include:
1965 Ferrari 250 LM Berlinetta - £2,255,000 (~$3,738,339)

1959 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France - £2,255,000 (~$3,738,339)

1938 Bugatti Type 57C Atalante - £660,000 (~$1,094,148)

Both Sotheby’s and RM Auctions removed the auction details from their websites. I assume only for the time being until they record the results. Once we have confirmed information from either of them, we’ll update this post.
A 1997 McLaren F1 will be listed for sale during the “Automobiles of London” auction by RM Auctions on October 29. The 627 bhp F1 had held the record of the fastest production car for over a decade with the top speed of 243 miles per hour (391 km per hour). This 1997 McLaren has a pre-auction estimate price of 1,100,000 GBP-1,400,000 GBP ($1,971,310 - $2,508,940)

Other noteable cars to be sold at the same event are the 1963 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder (estimate 2,500,000 GBP-2,800,000 GBP) and the 1965 Ferrari 250 LM Berlinetta (estimate 2,500,000 GBP-2,800,000 GBP)
A 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Berlinetta was one of the million dollar sales during the weekend Sports & Classics of Monterey auction organized by RM Auctions.

It’s a 300bhp beauty with a 3,286 cc, overhead cam V12 engine with six Weber carburetors, five-speed manual rear-mounted transaxle, four-wheel upper and lower wishbone coil spring independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes.
A ‘48 Tucker Sedan was also sold for around $1M and dozens way above that.

One of 50 built in 2004 and 2005. The first example imported into U.S. Built on an Enzo Ferrari platform. List price of $799,000. Naturally asperated, paddle shifter, carbon fiber body. In as-new condition with little sign of use.
Top end speed of 205 mph. Zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds. MC12Rs have won two of three FIA GT Championship races. If you want a street legal race car, this is it. More rare than an Enzo, but not legal in California—so you don’t have to worry about letting a guy named Dietrich drive it and wreck it.
