J.W. Creasy is $50,000 richer after his ticket matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number for the Aug. 16 Powerball drawing. The winning numbers were: 9, 15, 43, 60, 64 and the Powerball number was 4.

The Wentzville resident didn’t know he had a winning ticket in his hand until his wife saw the winning numbers in the newspaper.

“After my wife told me, I went and checked it out at the gas station,” said Creasy. “She was shocked, and I felt pretty good.

Creasy and his wife are planning to use some of the money to paint the inside of their house and make some other home repairs.
